Up For Debate
I will be appearing on Up For Debate with Julie Roys, broadcasted on Moody's radio station. It will occur on Saturday, December 13th, 2014. It's at 9am EST. The guest representing an opposing view is Dr. Ken Hemphill.
Dr. Hemphill is the former president of the largest evangelical seminary in the world: Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as director of the Southern Baptist Center for Church Growth in Atlanta and was pastor of First Baptist Church, Norfolk, Virginia. He earned his Ph.D. in New Testament from Cambridge University in 1976, studying under the prestigious scholar, C. F. D. Moule. He has been a guest lecturer and professor at the School of Evangelism in Scotland, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Beeson Divinity School, Oklahoma Baptist University, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently teaches at North Greenville University. Among his published books are The Antioch Effect, The Bonsai Theory of Church Growth, and Mirror on the Wall: Discovering Your True Self Through Spiritual Gifts. He contributed to a book I edited a few years back: Perspectives on Tithing.
