Red-Letter Christians

Red-Letter Christians? It would be convenient for some to throw out much of what Paul had say, wouldn't it.

I have some versions that don't have red letters. What does that make me? The answer, free indeed! Woo hoo!

Campolo sounds like the anti-JD Crossan here, and usually that would be a good thing. Campolo is a good example of what happens when your agenda becomes your theological and hermeneutical key. It's convenient to jettison parts of the canon that you don't like or don't agree with, but it's not responsible scholarship, and it's certainly not honoring the Author of Scripture, the Holy Spirit (whom I heard Campolo refer to as a "she" at a conference, if he's going to go that route, then he should honor the neuter grammatical gender of πνεύμα, but that's another can of worms).

Campolo has a great sense of humor, though, so he has that going for him. Even so, I don't think God is laughing.
