D. A. Carson is known for some extremely quotable comments in is writings ... places where he waxes eloquent out of nowhere.Here is one from his John commentary, commenting on John 6:45:
"When he compels belief, it is not by the savage constraint of a rapist, but by the wonderful wooing of a lover."
